Helsinki is the undisputed mecca and hot spot for street snowboarding, drawing boarders and film crews from across the globe. When Red Bull set out to bring its legendary Heavy Metal concept outside North America for the very first time, the brand needed a production partner capable of turning an ambitious vision into reality.
On March 7, 2026, the iconic stairs of the Helsinki Cathedral were transformed into an unprecedented event arena where the world’s best snowboarders went head-to-head. Behind the scenes, the scope of the production was extraordinary: massive snow construction, course design and execution, official permits, safety protocols, and the comprehensive operational management of the entire event.
Together with Red Bull Finland, Lataamo Creative managed the production from start to finish, ensuring flawless execution despite the exceptional scale and demanding requirements.
Red Bull Heavy Metal Helsinki was a massive success. The event packed Senate Square to the brim, drawing a crowd of up to 30,000 spectators. This exceptional production brought street snowboarding up close and personal for the wider public in a way never before seen in Finland.
